I am not sure where to post this - most of us on this instance probably use it as a "general-purpose" one to launch ourselves into the wider Fediverse, with only a few communities being here locally. @[email protected] @[email protected]

It may be just me, but all images appear to be broken when browsing to Discuss.Online in the web browser.

I remember when I was on Reddit I would check it several times a day. But with Lemmy there doesn't seem to be that much content popping up to justify that. I'm finding myself less addicted to the platform genre.

You’re not going to believe this: I was permanently banned from both these subreddits, r/SFXLibraries and r/AudioPost for “piracy efforts”! *Where* or *how* did I commit “piracy” in any of these reddit posts?! Only adding insult to injury; I got immediately muted from contacting both subreddit admins for 28 days! I didn’t even mention anything pirate-related like keygens or torrents. I just asked for help to locate these sound effect and music libraries to their source websites. Adding more insult to injury, after my 28 day mute expired, they muted me again for ANOTHER 28 days!

I made a post on a community on the Lemmy.world instance and I can only see it from my discuss.online account, not a separate lemmy.world account. Is this a federation issue? Not sure why this would happen if we’re federated with lemmy.world. Thanks for feedback!

Hey y'all. I'm not a huge fan of defederating other instances but I honestly don't know that hexbear is adding any value to our discussions. So far everything I have seen is trying to be edgy and gatekeeping with manipulative language. They also seem to enjoy stirring things up for entertainment.

for example i posted several times in this thread and no showed https://lemmy.world/post/2461610 is there a way of knowing where's worth posting to because i feel like i'm just wasting time if i'm posting and no one will ever see it.

I cannot see comments made by lemmy.world instance when logged in to discuss.online. Not sure if any other instances are affected this way. I also cannot search some communities. I have not figured out a pattern. I wonder if it is intentional. Here is an example: https://discuss.online/post/202378. There are a few comments under the post, but I do not see them.

It seems that there are at least 30 Million people that want a different experience than me.

I’ve been using Lemmy a lot over the past two weeks. I’ve come to understand it and the fediverse. I understand the pros and cons. I kno how I want to improve it and I know what keeps people away.
