Astrid has come out as a happy go lucky girl. Honestly, I'm so touched at how loving she is. Our other dog Sherlock has a strong affinity for my wife. Astrid is all about me. I should rename her Saran.

My wife and I just adopted her from the animal shelter yesterday. She is about 1 year old, weighs 35 pounds (though I think she may be a touch underweight), and she *reeks.* We can't give her a bath until the 25th because she was just spayed a few days ago and the glue can't get wet. So we've been wiping her. Hasn't helped the smell. She's also gonna be a mondo shedder.

I almost called this "Boomerang", but I wouldn't expect many people to catch the reference to the 18th highest grossing movie of 1992 😄

Super Adoption Saturday at lake county fairgrounds Illinois. He's in my room as we have to accommodate his getting to know the other animals.

She's decompressing after we adopted her. She's chihuahua mixed with who knows what.

She tried to prop herself up on my partner, but I guess it wasn't comfy enough. Now she's at the end of the bed

It's an interesting diet this breed needs. Basically small frozen scraps, but very rich in content. Their digestive systems evolved as nomads north of the Arctic Circle and know nothing else, so a bit of care needs to be taken. His body will do a lot with the vital scraps of tundra animals, and doesn't know how to handle big foreign diets which make him unenergetic and unwell after a few meals.

She turned 11(ish) last month.
