I continued to break my CFW PS3 Slim in today with LittleBigPlanet 2 (and a little bit of Uncharted). I bought it completely on a whim but I love this thing. For only $90 it’s a powerhouse. I connected to my Jellyfin server with it and used it to stream a movie today, and I installed LittleBigRefresh to reconnect to some online servers and even popped into a public game with someone. It’s so much fun being able to play online again after the servers shut down. My only complaint is that all the Applications it came with fill up my home screen, I’d much rather if it had its own bar on XMB.

I got a new PS3 I've been waiting on for a week in the mail today. I installed CFW on it and decided to break it in with my Childhood copy of Minecraft PS3 edition while I had LittleBigPlanet 2 installing. I grew up on Xbox 360 edition for half of my childhood, but PS3 edition was what kept me hooked for most of the later half of my childhood. I booted into the tutorial world and just ran around in it reliving my childhood. My first stop was the Chest with the Flame bow:

Horizon the robot dinosaur game, not Forza Horizon the racing game in case anyone was confused like me.

I picked up Slime Rancher 2 along with the Entire Assassin's Creed Bundle (it was only $70 for me, so why not?) today. I wanted to give it a try after first playing the earliest version on Xbox Cloud Gaming. I have to say, this one feels a lot more forgiving. I feel like i'm drowning in Chickens within days. Some notes: - not very mobile friendly, but definitely worth checking out on a larger screen - you can right-click to flag squares with 1-10 (plus "X" for more powerful foes) - the book icon shows a live-updating list of undefeated monsters - if you're feeling frustrated, study the game board after a loss -- there are helpful patterns to glean

Today's game is Minecraft 1.8.5. Me and a friend started a server to plan for a fun. It's an amplified world so it has that jacked up terrain gen. It made finding iron difficult and climbing hard, but it was a lot of fun. 1.8.5 i have fond memories of. Not nearly as many as 1.7.2 due to Xbox 360 edition, but the 1.8.5 equivalent on PS3 edition was the main one i played for a while. I remember being really excited to be able to use prismarine and dark oak for my builds.

i got some more screenshots from Cyberpunk today. I was messing around with V's pose and ended up wedging his head into the table while trying to get him to sit on the seat. I saved this one because Rogue looks so done with my character's shit.

Original post here I asked this wonderful community to help me out and select neck tie or bow tie version. This little plush duckie in parts is inspired by The Companion Cube in Portal. Me and my Friend played Some Red Dead Online today. I went fishing and some how managed to get my character to float off a dock. Sadly i couldn't get any fish to bite. In fact, after doing a bounty i feel like *no* animals were spawning. After i gave up i found a nearby gang hideout, which i didn't even know was a thing in RDO. After clearing them out i found this shrine while looting the place:

In the graveyard of live service games Concord may just be the biggest headstone, and that seems to have focused some minds over at PlayStation. Previously the noises coming from Sony were all about the importance of live service games to its future strategy, and it had announced plans to launch more than 10 live service games by the 2025 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2026.

Both were live service; one at Bend, one at Bluepoint. Bluepoint was helping work on God of War: Ragnarok until 2022, at which point they were developing this now-cancelled God of War live service game.

A Direct is announced for April 2nd to cover the games.

Today's game is Cyberpunk 2077. I've been wanting to save this for my new gaming rig i've been planning (i think Lemmy will be happy to know i'm planning to stay with Linux lol), but after getting news some of the parts won't be here until Febuary, i've decided my Steam Deck can go through one last Marathon Sprint through hell trying to drive a AAA game at 1080p before it gets retired to Emulation on the go, Alan Wake, and the Occasional Indie Game.

I wanted to make sure Dolphin was working after shifting Emu Deck over to a new Drive, so i tested it with Mario Kart Wii.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 feels like a hobgoblin game. A game for late nights, sick days off work. A game you can obsess over. It's a wonderful historical romp for the average video game-enjoyer, if they have the constitution to munch on the occasional wave of tedium. Allow me to make a case for the game's merit by comparing it to the inevitable rival it'll have in the eyes of gamers: The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim for good measure.

After seeing someone bring up Starfield on a post here, i wanted to revisit No Man's Sky and discover some new things. I feel like this game always has some new discovery for me to find every time i play. This time i discovered this weird Planet full of Rectangular Prisms. It was really cool.

I finished Max Payne 2 today. I didn't realize going into this how much Max Payne had setup for other Remedy Games, specifically Alan Wake. The in-game show Address Unknown has so much in Common with Alan Wake II such as the evil double, alternate reality New York, and the implication of a "Next Level". it's uncanny.

So I'm re-doing some of my Do Not Press The Button (Or You'll Delete The Multiverse) character models and I have this duck that is kind of inspired by the Companion Cube in Portal. I want to make it as appealing as possible so the players will attach to it and carry it around with them. Which looks better! I'm more partial to the neck tie (because I like wearing them) but what do you guys think?

My wifi was still out until this evening, so i decided to finally pick up Max Payne 2 since i had it installed, if only so i can finally clear it off my list. I made it about halfway through the entire thing today before stopping when my Wi-Fi came back on.

Robocraft was near and dear to me. It's also the reason I don't bother with live service games anymore. In 2017-2018-ish, Robocraft was one of my favorite games, ever. Then they were able to take that game away from me and replace it with something I liked far less. This is inevitable for any live service game; if not replacing the game you liked with something else, then its removal altogether so that no one can play it anymore in any form. It sucks.

My Wi-Fi was out today, so that knocked all multiplayer things out and for whatever reason Sackboy wouldn't load with the Wi-Fi out. So instead i booted up Breath of The Wild on Cemu and played that. After i got the Camera upgrade i went crazy taking photos of everything i could (instead of, yknow, stopping the giant evil presence that wanted to destroy the world). I didn't realize how badly the System compressed the images though so a *lot* of these came out crunchy.

Because why the hell not!

The long and short of it is that development on AAA games tend to routinely hit bottlenecks where entire portions of a team are waiting for some other team to unblock them so that they can continue to get work done.

I decided to give Sackboy: A Big Adventure a try today. I bought it last year and never started it (though, the same could be said for 70% of my library). I decided to just drop Black Flag because i couldn't get the DLC to show up. So i this is what i picked to play next.
