I've been working on Birdbrain here for so long now. It's all reclaim copper wire and pipe as well as carved deer antler. The heart is made from a local Jasper stone.

I made a crate for puppy! He keeps outgrowing the ones we bought, so I made a large one out of his playpen panels that should be big enough until he's fully grown.

Today I jumped back on this project that has been on pause for about a year :) Turning cheap defective desktop speakers into a set of wireless Bluetooth stereo speakers. Got the idea from this video from DiyPerks.

We’ve written a detective story and I'm wondering if anybody likes it. It’s kind of a detective story that “tells itself”.

Recently dismantled a TV and its backlighting consisted of thin cfl tubes. This gave me the material to try something I've been curious about for a while! I sealed some yeast in a little section of tubing for a friend's birthday (his last name is Baker). Kind of a shitty gift as i doubt it would survive as a keychain but I had fun making it (and its failed predecessors). Here are the other attempts, from left to right: pepper, red and blue food coloring, yeast

Plug one side of the cable on the left of the box, the other side on the right, press the button and whichever light doesn't come on means that part of the cable is faulty. I learned a lot from my bad decisions :)

I made this a few years ago and still use it regularly! The "spoon" side fills up with 1 portion of rice and the hole in the handle can fit 1 portion of spaghetti. What do you think?

Tomorrow at work we have an event where everyone will bring a little thing and randomly give it away to someone else. I wanted to make something with wood and ended up with this little mushroom island.

Had nearly all the parts lying around, so I put this thing together.

And pliers and Dremel tool of course, but yeah this safety guard mod totally keeps you from cutting your nails too deep!

The first completed copper pieces I have ever done. I move around through mediums a lot because I get bored. I've never really worked with metal but it seemed like fun and I had some old copper pipe and wire. Now I am gathering up more for future projects.

I saw these dress form Christmas Trees for sale and thought it could be improved. I've been making costumes for 13 years and wanted to give myself a challenge. Except for the wig, every piece was handmade.

My wife found this cool snake shed in the woodpile this summer.

My sister in law is very hard to shop for, but she knits and crochets. She also makes kimchi throughout the year, so I painted the ingredients for kimchi on some stitch markers she can use with her knitting projects.

Celebration card thingy I doodled up for another site. I really do enjoy drawing teeth and mouths way too much haha. Felt a little refreshing to draw in this lined style again since I love using different line thickness. I hope you all enjoy! 😃

Had to upload the video to Internet Archive since Lemmy doesn't like largeish file sizes. Zbrush's UI is a little bit weird, and definitely takes some time to become accustomed to, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!😃

Yes, these already exist, usually without the colors though. I just thought it would be fun to make a dual purpose cube by Dremeling and coloring the dots in myself, while still keeping the colored decals.

This entry of mine will not match the customary craftsmanship found in this community, but seeing as this was formerly a pile of miscellaneous, warped scrap 2x4 segments recovered from old pallets, I think I've made a reasonable show of things.

I posted this one to [email protected] too, as I do most of my furniture projects, but I'm particularly proud of how this one came out. Solid white oak with genuine mortise-and-tenon joinery.

Furry serpents? Furry serpents.

Still needs some design corrections because I just didn't know how to properly do 3D print and industrial design but it works!

more of a goofy and fun project, I wouldn’t say it was practical, and definitely won’t change the world... but I enjoyed it, and it got a lot of laughs and acted as a good conversation starter. Hopefully yall find the humor in it :)

This one started out in my backyard, deciding I wanted to try to sample my ukulele on the EP133. It then sorta just grew into this summer track.

I really wanted to draw something that was sort of the opposite of an ophanim, so I thought why not draw angel that isn’t flaming metallic rings with eyes, but something made of ice crystals which emits ice/frost? I hope you all enjoy!!

This is Goodie! He’s a mischievous little angel who is young, but has to start somewhere… He loves nothing more than confiscating precious items from the demons, including gold and magical time reversing watches!

With the exception of the weight stack for my functional trainer and its change plates, I wanted all my subsequent equipment to be metric. To that end, I saw some cheap 45 lbs CAP bumper plates, and figured that I could make them into metric with not too much effort.

If you use the right ink, the right plastic keycaps made for mechanical keyboards, and the right settings on your laser, you can effectively dye-sublimate any design you want.

New Jam! This time its all about the retro gaming feel. Started out as me having fun making new chiptune-like presets on the MicroMonsta 2, ended up as a Jam. 😎🤖

Don't worry, this little angel respawns whenever he's eaten, and tastes like raspberry!

This is my first recorded Jam with the EP133. I have really mixed feelings about the EP133. On one hand its really fun to play around with, and make cool beats, but at the same time i find the Live performance experience to be, tricky at best. It requires way to many simultaneous button presses to perform things, and there are not enough options for scene transitions. (I want an option to change on pattern end, not just bar/tick)

It was even the same brand. I love when hoarding materials pays off.

This is the story of how I turned a 15" Titan adjustable dumbbell to be 80 cm (31.5 inch) long. Why? Because I have a space-constrained home gym but still wanted a leg press, and so I had to remove its original barbell.
