I appreciate how little fluff there is on this channel.

Bread on penguins definitively knows what she is doing. If you have not already, you should check her channel.

I'll totally use caligula. I might try the others if I get any free time.

I used it today after watching that video. It’s nice to not constantly double check my dd command to make sure I’m not going to write to the wrong place.

Used Caligula the other day. Actually goated fr so stupid proof and I didn't have to look up the dd man page

Text list? I don't need to see a tall talking head rabble about OSS, unless they're doing a tutorial.

Edit: it appears the list is just the title:

  • DurDraw
  • Caligula
  • Pastel
  • Astroterm

i for one need to see the (whatever you just called them??) so we're -1+1 now, Ruaidhrigh >=)

They're free - can't you install them and get them yourself?

it's not out of necessity- but enjoyment =)

edit: i see how this can come off as contradictory, as i went with your word of 'need' in my first reply. it may seem counter-intuitive but ne needs enjoyment too. just following necessity is not feasable.

To each their own! I do like summaries when it can be summarized. A great many can; videos of someone chronicling their experience flying across country in an ultra-light? Video. Someone listing top 10 whisks? Text.

That's my preference, but I get you: some people would prefer to watch than read.

i hope BoP does more of this! never encountered them before

this is just the kinda stuff i wanna learn in just the low-affect and lowkey hyperfixated way i wanna come across it

damn i'm so glad for finding this public educator, thanks!
