I started out in this hobby about five years ago with an Olight S2R Baton II. That was a fantastic light and I found myself purchasing more and more flashlights. It took me long enough, but now I'm truly through the deep-end. Getting into Emisar and Noctigon lights has turned me into a tint junkie, and if a light doesn't use Anduril 2, I'm no longer interested!

One of the many versions of this watch you can get on Ali. It's either NOS or reissue of the 70s watch with Tongji, Chinese standard movement. The strap is 19mm which is a pain, I'll have to figure out a strap that fits because my current 18mm wobbles.

Now I have a use for my Sofirn C01R and that H25LR headlamp with 670nm LED's. Cool. 3 minute exposure to 670nm light in the morning apparently improves color perception for the rest of the week. I'll read more closely to find the right intensity and so on.

Hi all! I have a Fairphone 4 that is serving me very well, but it occasionally reacts as if someone had touched the screen, such as scrolling randomly, zooming in in the camera, pulling down the settings menu, etc. I assume that there's something on the display that occasionally activates something.

They apparently do this every year. You have to make an account on their site which subscribes you to an email newsletter (you can unsubscribe) and deal with some popups and upsell attempts, but it's a decent basic 1AAA light from everything I've heard. 90 lumens, 1 level, 60mm long, maybe not great LED tint, i.e. sort of a less nice version of the Skilhunt E3A but still fine.

It's an old "Soshine" branded NiMH AAA cell claiming 900mah. I'm not about to test it but I did use it for a while. I've standardized on Eneloops since then. Anyway this is FYI so you know that NiMH leaking is a thing.

Keyboards with custom firmware supports keycodes like XF86Copy and XF86Paste. These are great for having truly global copy/paste shortcuts that also work in apps like terminals where "Control-V" and "Control-C" aren't supported by default.

I designed the case and the custom NASA glyphs for POS caps, so it has a completely flat console-like feel. It's Stocked with ChosFox Arctic Fox clickies (box whites on crack). I rewrote the firmware (didn't like the stock one) and added VIAL support as well as some different color modes. Also handmade the interconnect.

I know there is the Ultimate Gadget Laboratories (ultimate hacker keyboard) but I'm looking fore something more Cornish. And I want premium grade stuff that has a CE stamp. I.e. no low quality 3D-print plastics that will give me a rash or maybe cancer in a couple of years. Something like ZSA or Kinesis.

Skilhunt E3A went poof

I took it out of my pocket and tried to turn it on, hmm, twist switch was rather tight. Tightened it down or maybe it was already down. It didn't turn on but I figured I maybe had left it on all night by accident and drained the battery. Started to remove the head and heard a popping sound. Battery (alkaleak but fairly new) had some kind of black stuff on the casing near the negative terminal, no other obvious damage to the light or battery. I put in a new battery => won't turn on. So I guess the circuit is blown.

It was technically delivered on halloween as well, but I wasn't at home at the time. That's why I only have it since last saturday. Anyway, it's a pretty nice flashlight, really bright for the size:

I'm looking for a new light for EUC riding. I currently have a SP36 which I find too big and heavy and also a thrunite TC15 that lacks throw and uses a micro USB that I dislike. A buddy of mine uses a Fenix TK16 v2 and it seems to be a good balance of flood and throw, but I dislike the buttons. I really like the features of my SP36 and the single button.
