I love my indoor hydroponic.I just found out that it's not a cross pollination, but a different plant growing on the side of the #Serrano #pepper.I believe it's from the seeds of peppers I bought at little Africa in #Paris many years ago. I took it over from a former colleague in the office and am now looking after it. Google Lens and apps like Pl@ntNet have suggested Ponytail Palm or Pandanus (but I think they only have similarities and are not exactly this plant). Does anyone recognize this plant?

Officially classified under the genus Thismia, these peculiar plants defy conventional botanic norms. Lacking chlorophyll and leaves, they derive sustenance entirely from fungi nestled in the soil. Their fleeting presence above ground, marked by small, lantern-shaped blooms, adds to their mystique, often lasting no more than a week.

My cousin's dance club cut down this huge piece of their tree and she gave it to me. I immediately planted it into this pot and it even got some new growth super quickly, and, while I was expecting the older leaves to wilt, I didn't expect them to do so only on the sun side.

You can see a cluster of them to the bottom left and individuals spread around. We have them on raised beds near a maple tree in the yard because we were worried about the Kansas heat drying them faster then we could water. They get watered daily, they're not injured or weird looking, but they just aren't growing at all. What do we do?

I've had this plant for a few months now and suddenly it is starting to shed most of it leaves.

We have an ornamental tree in our garden and it is completely covered in white little dots. They look like eggs or larvae, but I’ve never managed to see them move.

Very cool project and glad to see it’s still going strong. Fun fact: I actually helped plant some of the very first trees here when it was just an empty field.

Found this growing in front of someone's house, beautiful flowers but no idea what tree.

Any ideas? Google lens results weren't helpful.

Can anyone help me identify these cluster flowers that started growing in my garden? My partner and I are not certain what they are or how they got here, but they’re quite pretty. We are in climate zone 10 according to the 2023 plant hardiness zone map.

Please ID. This plant has been emerging every season in my garden. It typically grows as a low lying herbaceous annual to 30cm high and 60cm wide.
